Ⅱ-11:Bad Company

"She wants the job done quickly," he thought to himself, "but first she wants breakfast. This could be a long and difficult day."(p.11)

The main characters are Shepherd and Webb . Shepherd is an old woman detective inspector in the police and Webb is a young man detective sergeant. He wants Shepherd admit him, but she rarely dose.  One day, a dead body is found on a beach. She belonged to a small music company and people there didn't like her because of her personality. Shepherd and Webb think that someone of her company killed her and researched the fact...
I think what is interesting about the book is the relation ship of the two protagonists. At first, the woman thinks that the murder case is difficult for the young man and she doesn't trust him. At the same time, Webb thinks of her buddy as strange because she requires something unrelated to the job like the quotation. And she wants red wine during their job. But their impression of each other changes through their job. I have read some stories where a woman detective inspector and a man sergeant are main, but I think this book is different from those ones because their relationship begins from zero, not from a bad fixed view. Therefore, please pay attention to the connection between them if you red this one!!
