The main character of this book is a woman called Nancy. She lives with his boyfriend who has a lot of money. Her boyfriend always buys her what she wants. she can have all and she was satisfied with her life,  at first.  But, he is a problem man. He doesn't like Nancy doing something. He stops her writing and wants to make her stop working. He thinks that he can control her at all!  And as the another characteristic of him, he hates asylum seekers. He thinks that they steal things and rob jobs and money of him. While, Nancy works at a center for asylum seekers and she knows that they need help because of bad problems in their countries. She gradually becomes unable to understand him and she is growing apart from him. At that time, she meets a man who is one of the asylum seekers and she thinks only about him instead of his boyfriends. She wants to be close to him more and.....

In this story, the sense of values are different between Nancy and her boyfriend, which cause an accident. Especially, Nancy is for asylum seekers and her boyfriend is against them. In fact, there are those who accept people from other countries and those who don't. Through this book, we can think of the social problem of immigration.
